Liz (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and initially began her career in the insurance field, eventually establishing herself as a disability case manager specializing in complex mental health cases. After several years of hearing clients' stories about their struggles with mental health, Liz decided to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University to deepen her understanding and provide more direct support.

Liz specializes in working with teens (14+) and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, motivation struggles, perfectionism, grief, and trauma recovery. She is particularly skilled at supporting women and children who have experienced interpersonal violence, relational trauma, sexual abuse, systemic oppression, and substance use. Liz is also passionate about working with individuals managing ADHD. Her clients often report feeling a sense of relief, release, and validation during sessions as Liz creates a space where they feel genuinely heard and valued.

A key focus of Liz's practice is trauma recovery. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and has completed Level 1 training in Brainspotting, both of which help her support clients in processing and healing from trauma.

Liz is deeply committed to helping clients achieve their personal goals through a collaborative and accountable therapeutic relationship. She believes in the power of consistency within therapy to help clients rediscover joy, accomplishment, and a sense of agency in their lives. At the core of Liz’s approach is the belief that counselling should provide a space where individuals feel heard, can explore the meaning of their challenges, and develop coping strategies that empower them. Liz is
flexible in her approach, understanding that the course of therapy may evolve as the client’s needs shift over time. Liz also places high value on physical activity and maintaining strong social connections, contributing to overall well-being. She volunteers with The Women’s Centre of Halton, supporting women experiencing crises, distress, or life transitions.

If your benefits provider does not cover Registered Psychotherapy, Liz can provide services under the supervision of a Registered Social Worker.
