Liz (she/her) is a gender-affirming and dedicated clinician with over 20 years of experience delivering mental health and behavioural services to families and adults. Liz's personalized approach to treatment aims to bring clarity into complex life circumstances. Her clients have noted that she is welcoming, non-judgemental and effective in her approach to helping them to achieve their goals. The counselling process can be overwhelming. Liz is skilled at creating comfort and rapport while incorporating humour and levity into the most intense situations. She will take the time to learn about her clients strengths and skills because these are some of the most important factors that build resilience when life feels heavy.
Liz is Social Service Worker Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. She earned a Social Service Worker Diploma from Humber College in Toronto while concurrently working toward her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Philosophy. Liz is a graduate of the Masters of Counselling Psychology Program at Yorkville University.
Liz is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained clinician and received her training with EMDRIA approved trainer, Dr. Amanda Bell, and is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples
Liz lives with her husband and 2 children in Halton.
