Meet Kanica
Kanica (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, who is here to help! She has over 10 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings supporting the health and mental wellness of children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Kanica specializes in providing support to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal difficulties, school-related stressors, self-harm, suicidal ideation, performance anxiety, and self-esteem issues. Kanica also has a special interest in supporting parents at various stages of their children's lives.
Kanica takes a casual and authentic approach to supporting her clients. She is warm, welcoming, and makes every effort to build trust and rapport so that her clients can achieve the best outcomes throughout their time in therapy.
Kanica’s goal is to work with you and/or your family to determine what approach fits your needs and helps you meet your goals! Through assessment, an individualized treatment plan and goal for sessions will be determined. Kanica has experience using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, SNAP (Stop Now and And Plan), creative activities, therapeutic games, and general talk therapy to help others.
